Postdoctoral scholar

I am a 2023 graduate from the University of the Pacific where I received my Ph.D. degree in Biopharmaceutical sciences. My research focused on using biochemical approaches to study how the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) is degraded in lysosomes via autophagy and investigate AHR's role in migration and invasion by performing CRISPR/Cas9-mediated AHR knockout in human lung epithelial carcinoma A549 cells. From 2016 to 2018, I was a researcher at ImmuneOnco Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., working on the construction and expression of IgG-like antibodies and Fc-fusion proteins targeting immune checkpoints and tumor-associated antigens. I am currently a postdoctoral research associate at the UVA School of Medicine. My research interests lie mostly in developing intelligent imaging technology for the assessment of responses to immunotherapy. Hopefully, we can translate these novel imaging technologies into clinical applications soon.
