I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology at UVA in 2021. My research interests include protein structure-function relationships, biocatalyst design, and cellular engineering. The Xie lab presents an intriguing perspective on these topics, as we are able to visualize protein and cellular functions as they occur within cells or entire multicellular organisms. With experience in both private sector and academic labs, I specialize in systematically troubleshooting experiments and equipment. I love new approaches, serendipitous discoveries, and minor lab tricks that make life easier!

When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy running, swimming, and volleyball with friends. I also maintain a small Dexter cattle operation and a chess habit.
